7 Channel Power Amplifier
480 Watts Per Channel
For years home cinema amplifiers have possessed powerful capabilities but all too often result in an over amplified sound that is less than ideal. Starke Sound sets a new standard with the A7 Mark II, a state of the art amplifier which is capable of up to 240W output per channel into 8 Ohms (which doubles the power into 4 Ohms). Every channel is truly independent with its own thermal management system, power supply, and fully balanced topology. The Mark II has an extremely high-biased design that maintains class A operation for nearly any musical or audio signal. We allow the amp to slide into class AB but only at extremely high level outputs, typically well below 1% of the time with most content. The thermally controlled fans only turn on when high power is in demand. This ensures the amplifier is able to perform within the temperature threshold required to produce powerful and high quality audio output. The Mark II’s extremely low distortion and rich energy is the driving force behind our home cinema and Hi-Fi systems.
More Power Output. (480w vs. 450w) We upgraded all of our circuits with more powerful amplifier chips to achieve this boost.
More Powerful Ring Transformers. How? We upgraded to 6n copper wire inside the transformers, that's how.
Better components. Lower distortion and more stability (with respect to temperature) exhibits even lower noise and protection from electromagnetic fields.
Smarter Architecture. Modular architecture inside the Mark II means each monoblock can be removed with just a few screws and serviced individually thus eliminating the need to return the entire unit for maintenance. The fan array was optimized as well, reducing the total number of fans and relocating them to the underside of the chassis for easy access and serviceability.
These upgrades result in the Mark II being taller in height and heavier in weight to its predecessor which you can compare in our specifications. From our experience these characteristics don't pose any downsides when you consider the increased performance of the Mark II.
